Time for new setup to bed in?
« on: January 05, 2013, 08:34:05 pm »
Have setup a new streamline 300 gpd single ro unit system which is taking in at 376 ppm, putting out at about 34ppm and the 7 by 18 resin tank has been dropping out water between 4 and at times 14. Tonight it finally seems to be putting out at 0000 ppm.  ...horay.....

As local water pressure only 25psi (2 bar) I am awaiting a pump to boost things up.

It is producing about 20 litres an hour, which is understandable given the pressure.  Speed has improved since putting a 60w bar heater under the unit, this is mainly for frost protection, but I thought heat albeit limited, would assist.

It has taken about 120 litres of product to get to this stage,

Is this normal?  Views comments, advice etc appreciated,

Have been a trad cleaner 3 years and even though new to wfp I love it....

Thanks

normal, with the booster pump your water production will triple at least
