roof bar endstops
« on: December 31, 2012, 06:42:26 pm »
I have just bought some MontBlanc roof bars and need some end stops for them. On my old bars I used exhaust clips which worked well but these bars are much wider and I dont think they would do clips that wide.
What does everyone else do for end stops.
With the wind we have at the moment I dont want to risk carrying ladders without them.

a while ago i saw a van with neat end stops made from just a long threaded bolt that had been put thru a hole drilled in the bar ,secured with nuts

i use exhaust clamps as end stops ,just like you did on your originals
