I had rotator cuff issues about three years ago
Pain came and went for about a year sometimes lasting upto two months
Did all the physio at the hospital but didn't make a bit of difference
Had cortisone injection which also didn't help
A few months later went back to see specialist and he actually gave me two more cortisone injections at the same time, he also said that I couldn't have anymore if it didn't work and would have to have operation to widen the hole that the muscle and tendons run through. He said it could take upto six months before I was working at full speed again
I went home and changed loads of things, bought a full set of slx's stood a bit further back from houses to alter angle I worked at, made sure I didn't raise my arm too high and learnt to alternate arms which is harder than it sounds
I also dropped quite a few awkward houses and some underpriced work and replaced it with lots of  better paying work
I now work a lot less hours for at least the same money, have regular shoulder, neck and back massages
I still get the occasional twinge but you learn how to deal with it best for your body, whether that means a long weekend or week in the sun it all helps
Thanks,
