I've got a st90 lying in the garage I was thinking of running pure water through the heater in a loop back to the the tank to keep the heater from cycling.

Do you run the pure water directly through the webasto and does it affect tds?
What model webasto do you use?
I'm thinking of doing this next year .

Webasto st90,9kw 2 man system.Aye a just circulate the water through the two pumps then back into the tank using car radiator hose,doesn't affect the tds.Depending on the ambient water temp in the tank, you have to start with a low flow rate, then once the chill is off the water you can start to increase flow.

To put the record straight pf use the same units as Ionics which are the thermo90 st
But their after sales are miles better in fact Andrew from pf was on the phone only 30mins ago to me

We think the problem may be the water pump at the bottom of the unit I'm meeting an engineer tomoz half way between his work shop and my house to diagnose it correctly

Pf have done everything the possibly can to try and help me out I'm really greatfull for all their help and advice

Yes that will be interesting to know, because when i had problem with mine, they diagnose it.

It has been diagnosed as a water pump fault as thought so 1 on order should be fitted next week

The engineer also said its a much better fitted system and a lot eaisier to work on than an Ionics system

Is it covered by warranty David? and is it a 2 year warranty the system has?Mine will be 2 years old in March

I meant buy a webasto 90 unit only from ebay and run the pure styraight through it and circulate to the tank.

yours looks like a purefreedom one with header tank and heat exchanger etc.

looks good but not what i was thinking .

Hi there I have a similar one and had the same problem ,got the piece on ebay its like a piece of special paper that goes into back of burener for £29:95 last january and gave a webasto service guy 50 euro to fit it .If you google webasto 90 burner repair   kit, it comes up, its a guy in turkey doing them . Hope this helps ,Liam
