Pop ups on my site
« on: February 08, 2006, 07:57:02 am »
Could anyone else tell me whether they get popups when they visit our web site?

I do and there should be no reason for it.

What do others see?

Just been right through your'e site ( very good I might add ) no pop ups at all even when I remove my blocker  it might depend on filters firewalls etc

No , no pop ups, but what people are seeing is the bravenet pop up which will only occur now and then, even with the google toolbar (which blocks pop ups) you will still get them, it is because of the bravenet poll script you have.

Thanks Chris. I wondered whether that was anything to do with it.

I suppose it could be the poll or the Bravenet counter. I'll have to upgrade those services to get rid of the popups. Will do that later.

Cheers everyone.

Yea, I went on yesterday and got a WINFIXER pop up, my no adware software describes it as dangerous in the cookies folder!!!!!  I'm no expert though and all I have to do is delete it after my no adware carries out a scan.
