With immediate effect Omnitolley's will be fitted with an Envirionmentially safer, Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM battery, this will enable the trolley to be stored in any position with no danger of acid spillage.
The new battery is totally maintenance free.
It has a life of 1000+ discharges/re-charges with a life expectancy of approx 6 years.
Due to its construction the battery has a longer operating life between charges.
This will also aid contractors working in sensitive locations, military sites etc. Where battery types need to be assesed in Method Statements/Risk Assesments.
Best news of all there will be no increase in the cost of the Omnitrolley.
