Marketing - splurge or constant drip ?
« on: October 24, 2012, 10:20:45 am »
OK well apart from a few outstanding jobs (£150 or there abouts)  Im all done for this month  :o

My mind now going over to canvassing but was wondering do you guys have a splurge like me and every now and then and throw some at the wall and hope it sticks  ;D or do you have a plan that works all year around giving you a steady inflow of new work ?

One of my jobs in an early life was selling contract hire / lease vehicles to local small business users and this mostly involved yellow pages, calling em up and getting name of relevant person, sending letter then calling em up to get an appointment - thought about this the other day and then realised I can do this for my business so now got 10 letters going out to local car dealerships.

If I could send out even 5 letters a week ... every week then gotta get something back from this I would hope.

Just wondering what you guys do if you would like to share ?  :)

hi Ian,

since june we have had an ongoing leaflet campaign with a minimium of 1000 leaflets a week being delviered sometimes 2000, it was been very good for us, and profitable. The trick is to find a good reliable distributor.
