WFP set up on a pickup

Anyone here use a pickup ( Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200 ) for work ?

If so any pictures of your set up ?

Pros and cons ?

Is a good point. A truckman top or mountain top works very well - the latter is best as you effectively have a very secure van that you can take the roof off for easy access.

Got the same ranger super cab. What mpg do you get as I only get 25 with same 400 flat tank with trukman top on.

Funny you should ask that. About 25-27mpg with a 400l flat tank and no truckman top. Gets driven carefully, mostly short journeys and rarely quickly. Very pleased with it though. Mark Three Rangers, 2006 on and common rail, are supposed to be capable of 32-34 mpg with about 40% more power and taller gearing. I know what I'll be buying next time but this one so far has been great.

Exact same when I can afford it. Motorway it's at 3000rpm at about 55-60mph so will be puttin bigger wheels on and injector cleaner through. Have you just bought the truck as I was lookin at an identical one before I got mine

Bought mine seven months ago from a dealer in Bracknell. According to SatNav I'm getting 70 mph at about 3,200 rpm or about 22 ish mph per 1,000 rpm. The Mark Threes are supposed to be around 2,300 rpm at 70 mph so this and the improved engine efficiency may explain the improvement. Haven't tried injector cleaner yet but it's a very good idea. Do you run your truck in four wheel drive much ?

Got a navara with a 350l tank. Getting just over 30mpg at mo. All the stop start journeys are rubbish for fuel. Had 38 out of it on a run.
