Grrr, been raining for days, go on a dry day and get this! It hasnt rained all day. I said "its going to rain no matter what" grrrr

Bought some work off a guy, so went round poating explanation letters.

One chap phones me up. Asking when im coming etc....

Then proceeds to ask if I clean in bad weather, I replied we work in light rain

'oh, me & (previous cleaner) had an agreement, not to clean in the rain or if its going to rain'

I replied, of course it going to rain, at some point after the clean!

'no, I just mean if its going to rain within a few hours'

I replied, with all due respect mate, I dont work for the met office, so I dont know if it will rain.

The conversation was quite comical, wish I recorded it

Needless to say, I never bothered going anyway

My standard response to this is.

'This is England it's always 'about to rain' if I didn't work in case it rained I'd never work'

All said nicely and with a smile, in 9 years of syaing that all but one of the customers has backed down and the other one I just left.
