Adwords

Been asked by a customer to take a look at his Adwords campaign for him.

I use Adwords with good success for our floor restoration services but not carpet cleaning.

What does everyone pay per click on average?

Ive just put my max up too $4 too test out.

Far too much.
Getting into the top 3 currently is about £8 a go

Bids vary for me between £1.50 and £3.50, depending on keyword. They say on a lot that its 'below first page bid', but still gets enough impressions.

As much as it takes. It's a bidding system so if its competitive around your parts you could be paying £5+ per click. Could be a matter of pence, all depends on what your competitors are bidding.

Varies massively Jamie, some long tail keywords are as little as 25p, others for the popular ones up to £1.80ish, but as you probably know, the quality score and relevance plays a massive part in the amount you actually pay v's what you bid.  The bid will get you up there, but the quality score and relevance will mean you wont pay that full amount.

What an amazing coincidence. I too was a customer this afternoon doing their adwords campaign
when they asked me to clean their carpets.
