Has the secondhand grippamax tank you sold me been used for anything other than water ?
HAs a strong smell similar to diesel when you open the lid .
It has only ever been used for pure water (maximum 002ppm), but it has been sat in a container for about 3 months and then outside for another month. In the container it did not have the lid on and this container smells of solvent so may be where the smell has come from.
As it has not been used for a few months anyway I would recommend flushing it out with a hose pipe and then emptying through the lid a few times before using it.
