i know on car valeting pricing can be a touchy subject, we all have our own thoughts on this. in the carpet cleaning world is it the same??  do you discuss prices or is it a no no??  id love some pointers if poss, do you charge by the hour and aim at a run rate for the day? do you charge based on room size? amount of cleaning needed, ie how bad the carpet is? any advice welcome folks....

Most charge by the square foot or meter.

Average price range would probably be between 20p per sq ft  to 50p per sq ft depending on where you are in the country and your business model.  You will also find variations on this where by you will have a standard rate for small area's to be cleaned and then discounts given for volume, i.e. 3 rooms for the price of 2.

Do an advanced search on prices for carpet cleaners loads on here.
