Set up a business or personal deposit account in building society, hen transfer cash to current account every week or so.
Build soc don't charge count cash.

Another way is to not use a bank and then just take all your money in cash.  You can keep your cash in a box under your bed.

I had 2 years free banking off Natwest then charges were like 80 a month so went on a fixed 25 quid a month arrangement.

Ian, invest five months of that £25 on membership of the Federation of Small Businesses.

Amongst other things (insurance against tax investigations and industrial tribunals, and many more), you'll get completely free business banking with the Co-op Bank (who have just bought 600 odd Lloyds branches).

don't give you bank account detail's out for bacs payments as i don't think your covered by your t&cs on a personal account.

you knew they charged when you took out the account or didnt bother readig he info so why moan like they are trying to rob you.

i use my business account to pay cheques in and have bank transfers into the account. cash goes into a different account.

customers like the fact i have a business account as they know im legit.

Yeah, I know but I also remember feeling outraged at the amount my ex bank was taking in fees so I guess I was cutting him a little slack as I feel his pain.

first 2 years of my biz i ran it "cash only " not cos i was trying a fiddle but because i was  operating under the radar to avoid a crazy ex from ruining my new business . 
  in the end i gave up as the collecting of the cash drove me crazy
