Standing Orders
« on: August 13, 2012, 06:11:28 pm »
Hi All,

Most of my customers are on an x8 weekly schedule... I am going to try and move late payers and customers who pay by cheque onto a monthly payment standing order system.

Now... Theoretically 52 divided by 8 is 6.5 cleans per year, so I should charge a £30 (every 8 week) customer £16.25 per month (30 x 6.5 divided by 12)...

But - Do you think the customer would expect to pay only £15 monthly, and expect 6 cleans a year?

If I am on schedule one year they will get 6 cleans, the next year 7 cleans... So they should pay £16.25 per month.

What do you think?

Andy  ;)

that s what we do.

if they pay monthly it will come out on the same day, or therabouts.  much easier to track than BACs

And if you fall behind and receive two payments and have only cleaned them once, you refund them in cash.  It feels really weird cleaning a property and then knocking on the door to give the customer cash!

But it's only fair!  ;D
