skipped a customer today
« on: July 13, 2012, 11:03:51 pm »
she's a £12/8 weekly  - on the way from one job to another, slightly out of the way. I got the job when she was having her hair done at a local salon that I clean, she was having a perm and so watched my work in progress.  Easy job, gate unlocked, no dog poop (despite having a dog that looks like it could poop through the eye of a needle at 20 paces - very thin eyed expression) and takes me, not long at all. I just couldn't face doing it.

Q. does that make me an unreliable window cleaner?

By the sounds of it it makes you a failed perfectionist. Why worry?

Is it the perm that put you off doing it?
You are not alone and you can get help.

I don't know, perhaps it's like a living on the edge thing, daring the customer to drop me, I just couldn't be arsed. I quite like the dog, nothing against perms (if I had enough hair one might be an option)

At the start of some days, when your looking at a mountain of work, skipping one can lighten the mood I find #unprofessional I know

You actually skipped a customer? I'd say that makes you the sort of window cleaner that throws caution to the wind, i reckon you're a bit of a loose cannon !! God only knows what you'll do next !!  ;D

Has crossed my mind, generally though I don't. The cumulative build up of guilt would probably manifest itself physically in years to come
