ISSA Cleaning Rates
« on: May 18, 2012, 11:59:12 am »
Hi guys,

Does anybody use the ISSA cleaning rates when pricing contract works, with regard to timings to clean each sqm of different room types, and percentages to apply for insurances, materials etc.

Or maybe use these as a guide but adjust the rates/timings to suit your own business? Or ignore them completely and price using different methods or just a feel for the job.

Would be interesting to know how others price these works and any feedback on the ISSA data.

Si.  :)

Sure Si, it's worth using on larger sites when you can't eye-ball them easily enough. Ask the customer for a set of plans as it saves you wasting time measuring every nook and cranny. The BICS Best Value guide is even better as it works by premises type and is British. Remember this is the land when we still don't accept the back-vac which is far more efficient than any tub or push-u-pull-me vac so ... combine all the results.

Hi

Yes, the ISSA rates are very good but as Phil has said the BICS Best value guide is also a useful resource for working out cleaning times. Both publications can be ordered online.
