How often do You.........

One from the Wife here:-

How often do you as a carpet cleaner, clean your own carpets and what type of carpets do you have in your house?

We have poly prop and they get cleaned every 4 months due to the dog.

Once every six weeks... Since we got our dog!

Once every 8 weeks before that, but with 3 kids!

That`s when i discovered a use for my old shoe covers.......... Wrap up the kids and dog in them! No Mess Now!

Simply roll them around the room as and when you want in a kind of giant-elastic-band-shoe-cover-ball

Every three months, although to be honest it needs to be done every month because of dog and 2 kids under 5. :)

My mrs is a child minder so we have polyprop Berber everywhere kids can go.

I have cleaned them once in 9 years  :-[

I must bring a spotting machine home 3 times a week though.

we have polypro carpets, they are a long pile and they clean brilliantly they are 5yrs old and show no signs of wear. We change the room around often and can never see where the furniture was before, unlike when you see some homes were the suite has to go back to the exact position.

I clean them every time i need to test the machine or to try a new chemical, so usually every 3-4 months

Every 3 months or when I get a new chemical/tool to try out. However thinking that this is a mugs game to clean my own carpet so thinking of getting local carpet cleaner in who does lounges for £15. He cleans at 8p sq' but he has a half price offer on at the moment (from 16p sq')

Clean mine (wool berber) whenever I get a new machine (TM, OP machine, rotary, crb, and soon to follow: cimex)

My lounge carpet is a 60oz 80/20 twist which I protected from new all I do is hwe no nothing on it just a plain 300psi hot rinse it comes up like new (apart from the pile reversal!)

Same here, hardfloor with rugs downstairs and 80/20 upstairs.

What with the dog and the weather seems like I'm always pulling out the hoses.

Half our house is laminate, it's a bungalow and all the walkways  are laminate inc the kitchen
