I rarely use the crow-bar thingy but have found it extremely useful on a couple of occasions!  Don't forget it's different working on your own.  There's no more effort really because you still have to bend down to put tabs under the feet so you might as well sling a slider underneath whilst you're at it.

Put your money where your mouth is, buy a set and then tell me I'm wrong :)

Agree with Jim, sliders make things so much easier, especially for those working on their own. As for leaving them behind on a job, so far, so good, but then I keep the half dozen sets I've got in one of those really useful box things, along with furniture tabs, foam blocks and a roll of sticky tabs, I just check they're all in the box before I put it back on the van.
If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.

JTF sell cheap plastic tat, its only a mile from me and takes and hour to join and then you have to sign in and get marketing crap sent very fortnight, its full of the great unwashed, ladies with blotchy red legs, pikeys and doley scum that look into your van just to closely. So tend to give it a wide berth.

Personally don't think it worth shopping around for consumables as they are such a small part of the job the savings are minimal overall. by the time you factor in time lost and diesel they don't work out that cheap.

its also just over a mile away from me... i find it handy and have had some great deals from there in the past like the one mentioned...

I'm clean and tidy (some may disagree) ;D

My missus had nice long tanned / toned legs ;)

We aint gypsies / pikeys :-X

We both work have never been on the dole / my dad was in his working days , not by choice.. certainly not scum..  :-\

Do we not market our customer database too with marketing material???.... and suppliers of products we use certainly do..  ???

Why fight to get them back??

You could've just went inside and relaced them with plastic crap ones for peanuts! ;D
