Gardiners Backpack Review
« on: June 21, 2012, 06:08:32 pm »
I ordered this backpack at 3.10pm on Tuesday and the courier delivered it at 9.30am wednesday morning, thank you.

The backpack does not come with a connector on the hose, you have to put your own on, so remember to order one when you order the backpack.

Comparing it to my originally one I use, the Gardiners one look bigger and well built.

The charger is a lot better than other backpacks I have seen, instead of having a jack plug connector it has the ones that are used to power laptops etc

The water gauge has a gauge on the side on how much water is in it, this goes up to 16 litres but the water is still a couple of inches from the top, when filled to the brim of looks like it holds 19 litres of water.

The on/off switch is larger than other ones I have seen and can be operated. With your gloves on, whereas others need you to remove gloves to use the switch. The flow controller though is under this switch and you will need to remove you glove to adjust it .

Overall it looks the business, the only thing I don't like is the carrying handle on the lid, its too small, and is more difficult to carry, especially as the weight is more than my normal one, I ended up putting it on a folding luggage trolley which solved this problem, it would be great if it was like a suit case with wheels and a extending handle.

Switching it on and using it, you do notice the extra power it seems to have, it's was just like using my vans pump

The cost of £115 plus vat is money well spent

IMO another good product from Gardiners but it does have room for improvements

I put up a post with a link just the other week for something like this at lidls.
It was a shopping bag on wheels
(the link doesnt work now as its not a current offer)
It was a bargain at £12.99
my wcw backpack fits it perfectly, extending handle and built in casters and I put an old shoulder bag strap on it too.
Try your local ldls or aldi to look out for something similar
