I've started to canvass again in my area. I have noticed that in many cases, once I've spoken with the householder, and they have declined my services, they will close the door and then lock the door too!
Now the majority of doors were not locked when they came to the door and it just seems as though they view me as a 'dodgy' character. Of course, it could be that they always lock the door and this was a reminder that it was not locked, but this is happening too regularly to be the case in my opinion.
It doesn't bother me in the slightest - in fact I have a chuckle about it each time it happens.
It could, of course, also be my striped jumper, eye mask and swag bag.
