as title, any trad cleaners out today?

i no its at easier for wfp as its a normal day only exception is ur getting wet yourself,

but trad seems to be a nightmare for me did a bit tuesday full day wednesday and yesterday was a washout now today looks the same

i see trad guys sometimes in bad rain but cant see how they clean windows that are getting wet as your squeegee them

I don't clean in the rain.
Just get further behind in my round.

 But I have other work for an income too.

I work in light rain, but yesterday it was tipping it down all day, so it was a day off for me. I just rescheduled the work for next week.

When I was 100% trad I didn't tend work in the rain. If it started raining while I was working, provided it wasn't too heavy, I used to carry on untill it all got too wet to continue. If it was raining before I started work then it was a day off.

I always felt uneasy about the way the ladder felt slippery in the rain. I was also never happy about the feet of the ladder on a wet surface even though the ladder had large articulated feet on it.

Plus, detailing around the edges of the window got more arkward as the microfibre got wetter from the rain.

if your ladder has spikes fitted ,the rain makes no difference .you  must have a decent soft soled trainer shoe tho so that theres no slippy on the rungs .

iv found that HI-TEC  and  MERCURY both do a very good  trainer shoe for ladder work , both also have an instep which is most important in the wet .

detailing egdes is a nightmare,i ended up going out yesterday as it eased a bit but most windows were soaked and i was useing a couple of cloths per house,feel better that i went do a bit though

what boots do u have?  im always looking for a best grip improvement

the other year i bought a pair of proper safety shoes with Anti-slip soles,
But  first day out wearing my new posh shoes i realized they were useless ,( this was on icy rungs in the winter)-they had almost no grip on the rungs

im still on the hunt for decent boots without paying £100 i use dickies at the min £20 a pair but to be honest none iv tryed yet last 6 months iv had these ones 4 months now and the sole aint got much life left,going try some type of hiking boots next,on the ladders most days the sole is basically on the same point all the time so will take some strain with any boots id of thought
