Yes, but if you are using hot then your hose will swell with the heat, tend to crush your reel (like you have) and the pump won't cut out fast enough, the fogwash valve then blows like it's designed to. I'll bet if you use cold water you hardly get any leaks. look inside the valve and you will see an adjustment screw to up the pressure. But check the handbook to find out the kind of pressure the fogwash is designed to take.
I had weeks of problems and now suck through the unit resulting in no pressure inside and no leaks from the valve. Still get pressure problems from hot water in the reel but it can't affect the heater.
Ideally a bypass system should be fitted then pressure build up wouldn't happen.
