WCW backpack
« on: April 30, 2012, 03:04:18 pm »
I have been noticing recently that my backpack ( which is 4 months old ) has been leaking water from the bottom of the system. There are 4 small tubular type holes in the base and the water is coming out of there. Can anyone give me any information about why this is happening , thanks Ted

Not sure, I'm sure someone will be along shortly to tell what's up though as there's been several posts regarding problems with WCW backpacks lately!

Think they need to sort it out :o

I had the same problem mate, take the six screws out the bottom of the backpack, open the backpack up then connect your pole hose, switch it on to try to establish where the leak is.There are three posibilities,
1 Leaking from the black plastic screw thread directly under the water container part
2 Hose clips that come with the backpack are not up to the job, replace with jubilee or O clips
3 The hose supplied with backpack is cheap rubbish, replace with minibore

What he said!
I replaced the hose in mine with microbore, and changed the o clips with jubilee clips.
Also put bubble wrap in the bottom, makes it quieter because the pump doesnt resonnate so much.

i just got me 1 of these also..yep the pipe is no good .. too stiff. chinese rubbish.. I put microbore with jubilee just like above post..also when you put back together put our arm in the container (unless ur hulk hogan) mine just fits , so you can tighten the filter nut by hand to stop any leaks.  8)
