Does anyone know if you go on a NCCA course pass exam but do not join or leave and let your membership lapse for a year if you have to the course again and pass the exam
Just been reading Clean Trusts rules the other main body and appears if you do not keep continued membership and let it lapse for say a 367 days, not only do you have to take exam again but al;so do the the courses at £175 plus Vat each again
When I did my degree it was mine forever, but appears the Cleaning Industry thinks its different.

It is quite common in a lot of industries, my mate is a quallified trainer in the Plant hire industry, and licences are renewed evry 1-2-3 years.
I recently did a high access, mobile elevated course, it last 3 years.

Hi Ian
Heating engineers have to attend a course and take an exam every three years if they want to be Gas Safe registered.
This is justified by changes to regulations but no doubt raises a lot of money as well.
CC organisations could only justify this if they were updating the course, maybe by teaching cold water cleans better
Cheers
