any body do patio cleaning as well as there window cleaning. whats the best way to price this sort of thing up any ideas much appericated

 I do it but in my experience people exspect their patio done for £20 no matter what the size is.
I price work up at £1 a square meter and still get very little work.to be honest it aint worth it,but thats my thoughts only.

It has to be marketed properly to make it worth the investment, there are companies that only do this so the work must be there to be had. i would be looking more like the 1.50 to 2 quid a metre price range, but depending on area it could be more. Also offer the extras of weed killing and sealing, they look great when finished...

The weather plays a big part on block paved drives as need sanding when done and has to be totally dry...

Thanks guys for the input i was thinking more of the £1.50 mark but might have to consider £1 per sq2 and then offer the extras to make it up that way

we get loads of this. Im pricing one tomorrow

we charge £3.50 a meter or £4.50 if its block paving as this has to be re sanded. we have a minimum price of £100

Advice - get the right kit, mine was over £3k and worth every penny. Also say no to jobs where the surface being cleaned leans towards the property especially if its block paving.

Ive priced loads at over £1 square meter and not got 1 of them.ive spent about 3k on my setup.
Thats why i think its not worth it.
I use my washer for fascia cleans so i wont get rid of it for that reason.

If you have a proper set up and know what you are doing / talking about, £3 a metre is an easy and fair rate to achieve. Reduce rate for larger areas.

Once you know what you're doing you'll rarely measure up a job, just price up based on experience.

We get a fair bit of work via recommendation and return Customers (not all, but a few) on average every two years so must be doing something right.

Hi chap... It's all about the marketing... Do all your current window customers know that you offer the service... I mailed all mine plus I have added the service to my website and every leaflet that goes out... Just delivered 10,000 in my area... Best to target bigger gaffs as they tend to have bigger drives, paths and patios... I price at £2.50 per square meters, min £100. Or if it looks like a full day then £350.... Stay away from sealing as it can be a mine field... Tell everyone about it and it will come....

Full day I charge £395. Remember you have buy fuel and the kit in the first place.. I am not bothered if I get it or not but I do do a good job if I get it.

Also if you use the kit all day I seem to get tingley fingers after the job not that nice and is pretty  tiring.

Just take regular breaks, plenty of other things to be getting on with. Just time them so that every 30 min's or so you're off the lance doing something else for 5 min's.

Save you grief in the long run.

Good point about the tingly fingers... I recently had a good chat with a local ppe specialist and he basically set me up with some anti vibration gloves and believe it or not he advised that the most expensive is not always the best... a lo of the problems are caused by cold in your fingers... Worth tracking down your local safety work wear specialist company and go have a natter... If not try a bottle of vino... Works a treat.. Numbs everything.. Lol
