Best 'opening sentence' ?
« on: April 18, 2012, 11:50:25 pm »
Hi,

Just wondering how should I start conversation with customer properly.
It seems like my " Hello, I'm expanding my window cleaning round in this area, just would like to ask if you need a window cleaner " is way too long, but on the other hand simple " Hi, do you need a window cleaner " sound too short and sort of rude to me :P

What you guys normally say on the customer doorstep?

Thanks,
Bart

its not what you say that is important but

how you say it
what you look like
and your body langauge

Knock door (no bell as maybe bust)
take a step back
they open door
eye contact and a smile at same time
and say "Hi there - do you need a window cleaner" ..... now shut up and another smile

also can say "Hi there Im THE local window cleaner ... Im just looking for a few extra customers in this area .... etc etc etc
