Monitoring staff operations
« on: April 07, 2012, 07:48:38 pm »
Hi,

For those of you that employ or are considering employing. Would you be interested in a system that could not only be tracked to location but also tell you when the pumps are in use and for how long.

This would be a great help in ensuring your staff aren't doing work on the side out of your vehicle, as you could monitor the amount of water being used in each location and how long the pumps were running for.

If anybody has already developed this technology then i'll get me coat but a business partner of my Dad's has offered this technology to me as he is currently using it in cavity wall insulations.

Not sure about the costs as i have yet to discuss it in full with him.

Regards,
Lance

Franky it would monitor the amount of water usage and how hard the pumps are working. If he was doing an extra job or a conny roof you'd be able to tell because the output would be greater than normal.

I will be finding out more over the next few weeks so will keep you posted

I employ staff and I know they use my van and equipment for private jobs but it does not bother me, as long as they look after my work.

It could also be used as a great tool for re-evaluating jobs when due for a price increase. You could determine exactly how much time and water is spent on each job.

I'm going to look into it for myself anyhow and will keep you guys informed as to how it goes.
