WFP Start up on a budget
« on: March 30, 2012, 09:55:02 pm »
Hi

We've been going 6 years and now have 2 vans, there are 3 of us, me, business partner and an employee. All this time we have been trad, any high stuff or jobs we cant do we get a guy we know to help out who is WFP.

Work work 2 out of a vivaro (or sometimes a 3) and one out of a Combo as a single.

Now our work load is soon going to be reaching the point where we are rammed, the way things are going this is more than likely to be this year probably by the end of summer  8)

Rather than take on another employee we are thinking of going WFP in the Vvaro van and maybe a trolley in the combo as we have some stuff which will not be accessible with a van mount. This will then hopefully free up some time meaning we wont be rammed for a while  :D

Ideally we want to get a decent system for the vivaro for sub £2k, obviously for less if possible.

We are not afraid of a DIY set up as this will probably  be the most cost effective for us.

Would it be better to buy all the component items individually or purchase a complete DIY kit from a supplier

We want to run 2 poles from the vivaro and dont have anywhere to store a static IBC so want to purify it in the van so, we live in a hard water area i believe NG postcode.

What sort of cost should we expect to pay excluding poles for a system, and what do definitely need to have on/in the system?

I know we need 2 controllers and 2 pumps what size tank would you recommend and anything else?

And some ideas of places to purchase

Soooooo many questions :-)

Andy

I have looked at their site and its all pretty well explained and set out, i do actually have loads of room to store a tank but dont want it here, i may not always have the van here it could be at business  partners house where he doesnt have room for a tank and we live 15 miles apart.
