a triple vac will never have high lift though  ....   so if you are chasing small TM performance quad vac series/ parallel  is the way to go ...

triple 6.6 should have approx  130" lift and around 400 cfm
a quadvac 6.6  would have approx  230"lift and about 300 cfm

Yes , i dont know why others have not jumped on the 6.6 or 8.4 bandwagon ...
the likes of Ashbys excellent looking enforcer could be a twin 8.4 parellel  with their steammate on cord two .

or i bet if they stuck two 6.6 and a 220psi aquatec into an Extracta Exel  and called it after a scarey animal , you would shift more units in a month than they will in a year .

I think Neil we are trying to have a serious debate on how a more powered portable could benefit our businesses the TM debate will have to wait.

I get lost in the tech stuff trying to explain lift and cfm, all i want is a machine that will work at 100 ft and remove the most water from the carpet, been on the forums three years now and this same argument is still going round in circles with no answer, cant someone just pour a set amount of water onto a carpet, weigh the carpet  extract with a measured amount of passes at a measured distance and then weigh the carpet at the end, or is that too simple  :P

If only it was that simple ;D
You've also got to add into the equation humidity levels and height property is above sea level ;D
So what you'll end up with is

Weight wet         Number of passes                     1
 -----------     x   -------------------      x      ---------
Weight Dry           % Humidity                       Height above sea level
