Is this the norm with this stuff or did i probably have an allergic reaction to it .

Craig,

It is what you would expect. Dyegone contains 35% hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. The hydrogen peroxide just destroyed the first layer of skin on your fingers. You must wear protective gloves with this product and use it with care it has alOt of potential to do damage to you and your clients  carpets.

I'd see a GP or ring NHS direct. It may be wise to treat your hands with something.

It's just bleached your skin.  It'll fade, and you'll shed the skin soon enough anyway!

If its taken off your finger prints then you could become a cat burglar.

Wouldn't worry Hydrogen Peroxide is used as a mouth wash. As with all chemicals you should use gloves when handling, especially stain removers.

You could call it finger gone  ;D

In seriousness dont worry ive done it loads of time, Mikes answer is good as acetic acid will stop it burning. It will go after a couple of days.
As John says it is used as a mouth wash but at around 5% its also a good antiseptic for cuts.
