Oh god, not another new one. What's the difference between this one and my Extreme 48 foot?
I have sent you an email Mark
The new Xtreme47 is replacing the Xtreme48. What is different about it? It has been tuned and improved to better suit high level work 50ft+. The top sections are slightly shorter and stiffer improving mid-pole flex and control – the connection between brush and user feels much more direct. Interestingly it performs no better than the 48ft in declination testing (level of sag when extended at an angle), but does perform much better in the bounce suppression test (poles fully extended at an angle and then the brush head pulled down by a set amount and released) This becomes ever more important as clients use it for work with 2 or more extensions fitted. It is 1ft shorter though and it does weigh 150g more. It does now have mid-section adjustment points on every section, but has lost the fully incremental adjustment section of the base section like the 48, instead this has been replaced with a section that has 3 adjustment points, 1/3 open, 2/3 open and full open.
With the introduction of the 35ft and 44ft sizes (44ft is a two-pack extension for the 35ft) we felt that we needed to fine tune the biggest pole so that it was more tuned for the highest of work. Those wanting mainly 5 stories are now tending to buy the 35ft with 44ft extension pack as this is usually high enough. This 44ft pole is also able to use the same extension section as the previous 48 and the 47.
I hope that this clarifies the change.
