Aqua dapter hose coming off
« on: March 06, 2012, 08:11:09 pm »
Hi all.

Just got the mk3 Aqua dapter with the push fit connector for the hose.

My problem is that the hose keeps coming off the push fit. I've tried putting the hose in warm water first, then pushing it in but it stil keeps coming off after a couple or so tugs.

Am I pulling it too hard??

Regards Bob

When you say push fit connector do you mean the white insert you push into pole hose?

As if you ain't got the white insert that's the problem.

I know this may sound a stupid question, but are you pushing the hose all the way into the connector? It needs a firm push to get it all the way home.

SB...its the mk3 so I dont think it needs/comes with the white insert.  ???

Spruce....I've tried pushing it very firmly and even holding it in but it still comes off after a couple of tugs. Even tried putting the hose end in warm water to try and get a better fit but with no joy.

Any more advice?

As if you ain't got the white insert that's the problem.

They supplied an insert with the yellow hose for all applications.
They then only supplied an insert for the orange hose if you were using hot water. If you said you use cold on the order form they give you orange hose without the insert.
If you order a unit to be used with hot water, they supply red hose without an insert.
(It was like that a couple of months back).

Thinks Ive sorted it lads.

I was using my older gardiners hose which isn't as rigid. Switched over to the supplied hose and all seems ok  :)

Thanks aagin lads
