Right, tell me if I'm wrong but you wanna find out how good the RO unit is working right?
So put your inline TDS meter after RO and after resin.
You can check your tap water with a hand held for quickness. You only need to check that once.
Once you know what it's coming out of RO at, but before DI, then you will get your answer as to whether it's worth persisting with that membrane or not. Obviously if it's coming out of RO quite high then you're going to be getting through more resin.
That's the way I would do it anyway.
