system set up

just fitted a r o into a static system in my garage . and after the pre filters its coming out at 114 after di its down to 002 whats the calculation to replacing resin . does any of you guys know.... i know the ro is about on its way out just try to work out how long its gonna last realistically.i know sounds bizzare but no cash at the moment so got to wait to buy new ro

whats tds in.......

114 sounds very high,most likely need a new membrain if old.

sorry tds from source is 335

i know its about had it but wondered how long before new resin i put in has had it, there is a way of working it out but i got no clue how to do it

Right, tell me if I'm wrong but you wanna find out how good the RO unit is working right?
So put your inline TDS meter after RO and after resin.
You can check your tap water with a hand held for quickness. You only need to check that once.

Once you know what it's coming out of RO at, but before DI, then you will get your answer as to whether it's worth persisting with that membrane or not. Obviously if it's coming out of RO quite high then you're going to be getting through more resin.

That's the way I would do it anyway.

Your R O should be 10% of your tap TDS at least to be good. if its higher the membrane is shot. So if your tds is 140 it should be 14 if its say 20 it can still go but if its 30 then your resin will not last more than 2/3 weeks depending on the size of your DI.
