Best Pole Hose?
« on: February 19, 2012, 12:23:36 pm »
Hey Guys,

Thinking of changing all my pole hoses..... What ones have you tried? What do you recommend?

I have only really used the old Ionics stuff (Black). I want something thats hard wearing and you can kink in your hand to stop the water.

Thanks in advance

Kink in your hand?

Real profesional that!

Why not get a tap, aquadapter, trigger or similar?

In answer to your question though, I've just replaced all my pole hose with the soft hazard hose from Gardiners. Seems great to me. Fits the push fit taps without the need for stems and is soft enough that it doesn't get all tangled.

Hey Traps,

Lol I know it sounds a bit prehistoric but for me that has allways been the best and more importantly quickest way to shut of the water..... by the time you find the tap and turn it off the hand would of done it better. Plus taps are just another thing to break or leak. I keep mine plugged in quite alot and usually just tie a knot or crimp and push into a closed clamp.

Never used and aqua dapter but might look into it a bit more. but dont you have to cut you pole to fit one? Oh and the trigger.... na couldn't deal with the loop  :-\

One of the main benefits of the Aqua-dapter is no loop of hose.

You haven't had to cut the pole to fit one since October 2010.  The Mk3 is the easiest yet to fit.  Can be fitted in a couple of minutes.  It has a push-fit connector.  We also do separate push-fit flow controllers/taps.

My personal preference for pole hose is aqua adapter, especially if you are ever going to use hot. I use the kinking technique sometimes as well as it saves a lot of time.

londoncleaners, you know that fella  ;) Ever tried loop knoting? Can knot mine in under a second. Sometimes I just shove the single kinked hose in the hole of my base section or between my facelift clamp..... again in 1sec :D

Hi A.J,

You can get it direct from us, but also from your 'favourite' supplier, many/most stock it now, they're listed on our 'Where to buy' page.

If you have any questions, I'm happy to help here, or you can email sales@aqua-dapter.co.uk

The 2nd reply to a forum post back in June 2010 was someone saying

I've got a cheaper method, just fold the pole hose over and pinch to stop the flow and release to start the flow LOL
I think he now has 4 Aqua-dapters and has since said

They’d have to prise mine out of my cold dead hands, i’d never get rid of my aqua-dapters they’re too useful Grin
