« on: February 15, 2012, 06:48:50 pm »
Hi
We have a Prochem truck mount carpet cleaning machine to which is powered by a petrol Briggs and Stratton engine, there seems to be an oil leak appeared and we are unable to see where it is coming from, can anybody please advise as to where we can get this looked at by a genuine Briggs & Stratton Guy??  We are based in Surrey
I await your reply
Kind regards
Ray

Hi Derek,
Thank you so much for the reply, this site shows only Lawn Mower repairers, to which I have contacted several of them today, and been told they know nothing about the truck mounted side of the engines and didn’t want to know
Kind regards
Ray

Is that at Prochem HQ....that is just not right....what an attitude to have with someone who has obviously spent a lot of money.
Be intrested in who you spoke ??

sounds like your out of luck, thats where i got my oil leek fixed from, lawn mower repair company in middlewich, rang them up and they said bring it down, had a quick look and quoted me 200 quid. said okay and when they'd finished they doubled it to 400 quid for all the trouble it caused em, i kicked off big style and got it for 300 all in, still wasn't happy but its my own fault for not getting the quote in writing. without that i didn't have a leg to stand on. would never go there again but would use that web link i gave you to find another company. worked for me, thought it would for you. hey ho.

At the risk of annoying some on here (and as an ex mechanic) at the end of the day it's an engine simple as, and therefore any independant back street garage should be able to deal with it.
Just because you have a BMW doesn't mean it has to go to a main BMW dealership for repairs.

Close. At his newest and greatest little hobby in the town. Hamilton Grand.

He wants to meet me on site too. They have their first viewer who is looking to actually live there full time in a week or so.

Its an impressive place. A building site with only one apartment at the moment, but still impressive.
Off this afternoon for another nose around.
