charging battery when flow controller is switched on
« on: February 07, 2012, 09:15:24 pm »
I fitted an invertor at the w/end, it just connects up to cig lighter
Is it ok to charge the battery whilst the flow controller is switched on.?
As I tend to just leave the flow controller all day

There shouldn't be a problem charging with the flow controller switched on, just make sure that you have the required in line fuses.

I would agree with this ensure you have fuses in line and remember that the alternator will only trickle charge the leisure battery and it will still need charging up now and then.

Where should i fit the in line fuses
I though with it drawing power from a cig lighter the  cig lighter fuse in the van would cover it

A fuse between the flow regulator and the battery.
