L5 flue kit .....?
« on: February 05, 2012, 12:29:51 pm »
Hi all , i am looking to fit a flue to my L5 but cant seem to find one.
I did a search and found that Nat Jones had them when he was using L5's
Are they available , or can they be made , and a long shot , will the fogwash ones fit , or be adapted to fit ?

Any pics or links much appreciated

Cheers Rich

A reply at last !

Rs , i have had the l5 for 2 winters now and it has not let me down once , i get on with it like a van on fire  ;D

You obviously have the fogwash with flu , do you have a pic , i have looked at the aquatec site but i see no clear pics of the unit or flu , might be an old link im seeing though !

Can you post a pic of it for me .......pretty please ?

Failing that , i know Nat Jones was big into a twin L5 setup , i seem to remember seeing a pic of it on here but cant for the life of me find it , anybody point me in the right direction for the pic , and wether it was genuine parts or fabricated ?

Thanks Rich

What do you want a flue for Rich? Ive also been using mine for 2 winters and have it mounted on side wall right next to back doors no problems whatsoever..

Not sure if a fogwash flue will fit an L5 because the top (outlet) is a totally different shape.

Van on fire..like it  ;D
You can't polish a turd

H2ose , my only reason is that i used it all day on friday and i had a booming headache , i had sld and rear door open at all times , plenty of air flow , just want to be safer , maybe i just had a headache not sure !

My only other option is to get a carbon monoxide alarm and fit it to the roof of the cab area , i saw them in asda today for a tenner i think , what was i doing in asda today i hear you ask , simple , i have a bone idle missus who stays in bed all day , cant wait till she has a scout and sees that little diamond !
Reckon a jump is out of the question tonight SWEETIE  ;D

Now stop reading my posts , i aint cheating on you  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Lots of love Rich

It wasn't me that had a twin setup,.. I think Clive Mcdonald did (The village gleam). He was the first to use these gas heaters for window cleaning.

I use a fogwash now,.. much better than an L5 IMO.  ;)

Rich Ive got the fogwash but bolted it to back to as I always work with me doors open due to having hose reel bolted so all the fumes go up up & away lol !!! soz m8 havnt got pic of it !!!!!!! came in handy today as normally the hose freezes on the snow but did all work today with no probs !!!
