Gutter vac poles
« on: February 01, 2012, 05:43:55 pm »
hi all,

I have put together a gutter vac pole set I have been using these myself for about a year and they are spot on they are a very lightweight pole weighing only 600gms per section. the complete set in the box ready for postage is under 5kgs

They are a good sized set for carrying in the vehicle as the sections are only 4ft long also this makes them better whilst using them as it is easier to get the required length opposed to using 2m lengths.

any questions give me a shout

Hi I think they are lighter than the ets ones, although i don't know as i haven't seen the ets ones only the pics these ones are only 60gms per 4ft length

looking at the ets ones do thay have a shroud to connect them together?

if so does any twigs/leaves get caught on the lip that the shroud would leave on the inside?

cheers mark

Why the price increase? They were £150 before.

What vacuum are you recommending?

No the slot together then a butterfly screw to hold, it's same bore all the way, if any where it's the blue neck where things clog up, but I let it suck for a few seconds before moving along, wet leaves are the worst, clog every time , 51 mm bore all the way

Are you sure on the weight 60grammes is very very light especially when other aluminium makes weigh in at over a kilo per section for only an extra foot of length. 60grammes would be just over a twentieth of the weight, in fact it would be even lighter than carbon water fed poles.

Simon.

Hi there I increased the price because with the ebay fees it was hardly worth while doing them.

i have them on my website for £165 and that price includes the postage they are cheaper than on ebay because i have no ebay fees this way.

im using a numatic wvd 900-2  and this works fine.

because of all the questions about what vac to use i tried this pole set with my henry hoover and there was still plenty of power. although i do not recommend using a henry hoover as they are not wet and dry.

Cheers mark

Are you hijacking the thread? Are you also selling a pole set?

does it suck up the larger debris and moss only being 38mm diameter?

they are light but mine are the 50mm diameter

Yes their fine, we use to use 51mm when working with our gen 1 kit, however our vac type/design was copied by varitech, grippa and others so we changed vac type,  and then changed the whole design, and yes it works really well.
