Where do you put your poles ?
« on: May 13, 2012, 09:10:43 pm »
Just got a van, and wondered where to put the poles, is it better to have brackets from the roof, or put them on to the side of the van . . . . .which is the better option ?

Here is my current and below is my previous.

Current has the racking on the side so i just bolted 1.2m of drain pipe onto the racking

This one i made a frame and bolted the same pipe to the frame. Also had steps up there too but made it hard to get in whilst pee'ing in a milk bottle ;D

The one with my security guard in the back is a pegeout boxer - its too big though for a 1man user... would be a cracker for a 2 man set up though as it has 1.1ton payload

Going back to an expert as thats just the right size in my opinion

inside the van on bungee cords .easy fit in with a high roof van.i have a frame behind the drivers seat(no bulkhead)that i can rest the poles on and strap tight to side of van. ;) ;D ;D

does the job!
price higher/work harder!
