Hi guys we are using 7.5ah gell batteries on our trolley and mounted system at the moment, we don't have much window work so it's rare that we do more than 3-4 in a row.  Today we did a large property and I had two bar's on my battery indicator via the veristream controller.

We used 40ltrs or more and was at it for about 30 mins I think, there was one bar left on the indicator then the unit keep't stopping and displaying a U on the display....  Turn off and on again and it worked for about 2 mins then stopped again.

The only thing I can think of is a low battery.... Would I be right?

Thanks    Next question has to be regarding the cold, it was a tad nippy out today and I've had both batteries in the cold garage over night, I normally keep them indoors.  My colleague seems to think the cold is not helping them hold a charge, I think he might be right.

How long should a 7.5ah battery last on half speed on a veristream?  I know it has a 10amp fuse but I'm not sure of the actual draw from the pump etc.

To be fair I was intending to have both the 7.5ah batteries for the trolley, one to swap out during the day if needed.  Just got to get round to sorting something bigger for the mounted system.

The varistream is not our baby but the battery cut off works in a similar way to our Units.
There is no straight answer to how long a pump controller will run even with a low flow rate. as

things like
Efficiency of the pump motor
the quality of connections between the controller - pump and battery
Length of cables
any blockages
 can all have an effect.

As I understand it the Varistream will cut off at 11V so if the control detects voltage at or below 11Volts the controller shuts down the pump to protect your battery.

The higher the flow rate the faster the pump will run drawing more current and reducing the battery voltage. The Recommendation is to have the lowest flow possible that still gives a good clean.

As for cold effecting your batteries I am not able to answer that one, Im sure some one will.

had this problem with mine,found out that charger supplied with trolley little plug in the wall type wasnt charging right,put on car typr charger problem sorted
