Customer enquiry
« on: January 24, 2012, 06:30:42 pm »
Had this guy call me today who insisted in booking me only if i had a TM, i politely asked why he felt a TM was so important for such a small job (stairs and a bedroom) and he answered "last time we had the carpets done the guy told us his TM produced over 1600 psi of water pressure"  ??? ???

Just goes to show how little people know about what really gets your carpets clean!  ;D

Technically she has given you a feature of the other guys service.

So you could have asked her what was it about that which was so important and whatever benefit she saw in it you explain you can achieve even more of that with your system but in a different way.  8)
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

Hi Chad

I had exactly the same thing before christmas.
Maybe our fellow TM's are using it in their selling pitch...?(I'd probably do the same)
But find it a bit harsh and wrong to suggest not to use anybody that doesn't have a TM.

Do people seriously think that carpet cleaning machines need the same pressure as something to blast the cr4p off the patio?
The mind boggles.

Hi Russ, I always tell customers making enquires that i'll do the best job possible, also  I tell them to look at my photos on my website. This will give them some idea of what to expect, you can't beat a good photo of a half cleaned carpet.Better still a video of you in action.

Haha cheers lads!

When he asked if i was truck mounted i replied yes... of course my jag can either stay on the van or be removed if needed, i did explain that a good carpet cleaner should be able to achieve very reasonable results using only 100 psi, its all down to the method and materials used.

Anyway after i explained what carpet cleaning was all about he probably hired a rug doctor!

How much coal an hour does that burn?
