Information on how to purify water
« on: January 20, 2012, 02:07:41 am »
Hi.

Could anybody point me in the direction of a website or any posts that detail the complete process
of purifying water from start to finish, and what equipment is necessary.

I'm having difficulty getting my head around it all.

I know I can go to a supplier and just say here's £2k give me that one, but I want to understand
how the process works.

I understand the basic functions of the RO system and DI vessel but why is there systems with
various different amounts of filters? Also need to understand what the waste water is all about
and what flushing is etc etc etc.

As much information as possible basically.

Thanks

A few more details from you would help, like.
What is your tap tds, or where you live,
What are your daily water requirements,
Will the ro be static or van mount,
And are you on a water meter.
All these requirements are concidered when buying a ro.

My tds meter reading is 290 out of the tap.
Not on a water meter.
Plan on storing water at home and transferring to tank in van.
Probable usage low to start so say 150 litres per day.

Planning to slowly incorporate wfp into round first.
