Water spotting test
« on: January 13, 2012, 11:58:39 am »
Hi guys, a while back I was moaning about spotting on my windows when testing.  So I got an 11ltr resin vessel, and that brought my TDS down to 000, re tested on the same spotty window and also did a test on my other windows.

This mornings result on the spotty window is that its still spotting, the other windows however seem to be ok, only the odd slight spot here and there  :)

At about 4am this morning I remembered something.... I'm sure I used "Rainex" on the spotty window about 2 years or so back...  It's the only thing I can think of and that where I'm going to have to leave it I think, would be handy if I could find a way to resolve the spotty one though, any ideas chaps?  000 wire wool might be an option to test I think.

The Rainex has gone into the glass at the microcelular level, there is nothing in the known universe that will remove it and the glass will always spot unless you apply cerium oxide and nano tech products.

Cheers guys, I'll give the Vinegar a bash, if that fails I'll seek out some Nano bots for help  ;D

Lesson learned I guess.

I think its proper name is Rain X. It is for repelling water. In other words when it rains, water will run off the glass. (allegedly)

Halfords sell it, I have to say I like the stuff when it's on my windscreen, hardly ever use the wipers  ;D

But possibly crap on your double glazing  ;D
