Hi,

I have a Toyota Hiace style  van which I use for my other work. I use my car for traditional window cleaning. I do a few days window cleaning one week and then my other work the next.

Thinking of going the WFP route with a van mounted system. However I still need my van to be emptied of window cleaning gear so as to load up for other job.

Does anyone use their van for other work that entails them removing the tank and equipment etc. 

It wouldn't have to be swapped on a nightly basis as I said but say every weekend.

Any thoughts or experience?

We had a 250ltr system and tank mounted on an old pallet. We stripped the pallet down so it was flat and mounted the pump on the front. It was easy enough to pull the whole lot out and pop it in the garage.

I made feet for it up one end so that the water sat over the outlet better when the van was flat.

We found it was easier to take the tank out if we emptied the water out first.....

I only ever remove my tank when it I want to use my van for a camping trip with the family. When I do it has to be totally empty which does not always fit in with the work I have bee doing, so I either end up wasting water or pumping it in to another van.

I think If you need to take you tank out on a regular basis it will be a right pain. Have you considered having a custom low profile tank made which can act as part of the van floor. I think you can get custom tanks through Gardiners.

All that said though I use my van for window cleaning, carpet cleaning, gutter cleaning and pressure washing. I think I could fit all the gear in the van at once, at a  push, and I use a 500l tank in a Renault Traffic. So maybe you won't need to remove the tank after all.
