Sorry to hear that, and I hope he gets well soon, Maybe get him a wfp guide to look at for when hes better and able to work again, take away the ladder it cant happen again.

Lets hope he was insured for accidents.

wow that sucks, never did get why people do wfp up and trad down.

Hope hes feeling better soon though.

WFP all the way now, and hopefully others can learn from this poor guys mistake.

Best to your mate. Totally agree with above! you sell wfp to customers all the benefits - then use trad down....can possibly understand doors... total contradiction ! only one reason I can see - cost saving for cleaner! got to be wfp all or nothing in my eyes

sorry to hear that.  nasty job, not a big height either.  Scary.

Yeah, we wfp up and down, tho at times tempted to trad down, but its easier and quicker and does just as good a job or better normally with pole, so do it all.

i know quite a few who have have bad ladder falls and been off work for months. They do learn from the experience though. And all the ones i know have not invested in anything safer like WFP, no, they employ "a lad" to do the ladder work. There's a logic there i suppose.

Sorry to hear about your mate, it doesn't have to be a great height to do a lot of damage. However, ladders are not dangerous, they are a tool, and falls are normally avoidable if you work safely and think what you're doing.

Just got up to see next doors guttering lying in their front garden!!  Saying that it was fitted by a couple of irish blokes in a plain white van who came knocking on doors last year offering to replace gutters and fascias..........never to be seen again!
