I am a firm believer in buying locally which is why as a general rule I buy from my local supplier wherever posiible, convenient, build a relationship with said supplier etc but the other day I was looking for something I knew they would not have, it was a velvet bobbin brush so i looked around on the internet for one. Most suppliers wanted to charge me as much delivery as the brush price so i continued to look until i found a reasonable delivery price.
I found one I was happy with and was happy to pay the £3.50 delivery, I ordered myself a couple of bottles of solvex at the same time, didnt want to order too much as I hadnt used them before and wanted to test delivery time.
Ordered Wednesday evening at 9pm, delivered this morning at 9am, pretty good for £3.50 delivery so happy about that.
So I decided to order some more bits, all branded prochem stuff, I ordered:
Prochem Foil Furniture Protector Pads
Large Mesh Hose Bag
Citra Boost
Liquid Defoamer
Total order £55.47
I then did a comparison on another site that i have ordered from before and the exact same products came to £71.27!!!!!!
Thats a big difference.
I am not a price shopper as such, I was pi**ed off with the shoe covers I bought off ebay from Accessory planet so paid twice the price on amazon for decent ones that do the job properly .
Just wondered how the prices can vary by what 30% off the top of my head with no calculator!
Happy to divulge the suppliers if a mod promises not to ban me.
