Hi Peeps

I was gonna get me a trolly system, full kit for £645.83 but then i saw this

Is it any good as a starter kit? and if so do you think it would fit in my renault megan scenic?

hi mark it would be much better than a trolley system but buy the bits seperately i bet you would save £150.

i thought that but where it says pipe fittings, thats where i would get stumped, it says Just connect the main water feed into the NEW 300 Gallon Per Day RO System and thats it, watch the water flow into the 250L tank, so does that mean i would not need a DI Vessle? and could just run the hose straight to the Ro and then into the tank?

that system has a 10" di filter too. i know it looks complex but it really isnt. when you buy an r.o. they come with instructions and i will give you a link to a very good supplier that when you have bought it is quite happy to talk you through it while you set it up. you will be changing the resin in those 10" di's quite often a 7l would prob be better.

yeh that should be it,its got di filter on ro but its small and resin will prob need changing quite frequently as its a tiny canister prob be best get a seperate di unit but depends on your tap water soft or hard water

would i need some kind of straps to keep it still in the back of the motor, do you think it would fit in a scenic?

if you look on WWW.GARDINERPOLESYSTEMS.CO.UK they have the dimensions of the tanks, but yeh i reckon it will fit.

the other VERY IMPORTANT thing I forgot to say is the poles with that package will be crap, so while your looking at the dimensions fo the tank have a look for a pole its the only place to buy from when it comes to poles.

here is the r.o. i was gonna suggest i have it and its great. my tap tds is 350-400 and this takes it down to about 9! and it will produce plenty of water for your 250l tank.

looks good, so am i right in thinking  that i could run a hose to my car, connect it to the RO then it goes from there to the DI vessle and then into the 250lte tank?  its just that i dont have room for a storage tank at home

If you have a driveway or garage yes, otherwise your gonna have to fill to static then pump to van tank.
YOU WILL NEED ELECTRICITY FOR THE BOOSTER PUMP TOO.

I have a 4040 bought from gaps water. they are not cheap, but will give you anythin up to 250 litres per hour. great for if need to make it quick.

I used to have RO in van, but as said will need booster pump unless got good water pressure.

these other membranes tend to take (some a lot) longer to filter. but are cheaper to buy.
