And it's survival of the fittest. Times might be hard, customers harder to come by but the harded you canvass, leaflet or whatever you do to promote yourself the more you get. If you get peed of and think there is nothing out there and it isn't worth trying the less you will get and it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

Like the old saying "the harder I work the luckier I seem to get".

Like my Father would say...'it's money for old rope'...late start, early finish, no 'silly' boss's...and it pays well for the time and effort required.

I like the control I have over it and me...
The more I know the less I know I know ...

the sheer pleasure of not having to drag yourself out of bed early and having to go to work knowing if you dont you ll get the sack!!

not making another guy even more money for all your hard work.(unless you join groupon!)

not having to ask for a day off or phoning in pretending to be sick!!

not having to put up with irritating work colleagues

please feel free to add more............!! ;D ;D ;D
price higher/work harder!

Its better than any other service business. Ive just counted my 34th new customer since monday and there is still 4 canvassing days left in the week. Got a minimum target of 200 new customers for christmas and im well on the way. Its fantastic!

Ive not counted the round numbers but turnover is in excess of £1000 per week.

I have done some haircutting and dumped bad payers and lower priced work.

Im looking at getting on top of the VAT threshold before Jan but not sure if i want to cross it

Cheers
Im going for it but if i decide to go past the threshold im thinking of buying a good round or two plus the canvassing to take me way past it to make it pay. What are your plans for taking the plunge?

PS Good Luck
