I do the tops with WFP and the bottoms traditional if I can reach them from the ground. I did one window this morning top two panes WFP the bottom two with a blade. I went back later and saw a couple of spots on the WFP panes and a sqeezy mark on the bottom. Borrowed the wifes pointer and and went to srim off the marks. Now the scrim slipped across the glass that I did with the blade, but when I went to rub off the spots the scim dragged across the WFP cleaned panes. Why is there less friction polishing bladed glass than there is with WFP cleaned glass? anyone know? Dai

cos there is a film of residue on the trad pane, and nothing on the wfp pane? -wfp pane is more 'squeaky clean'

my take on it is that if there is a film left by the blade, there there will be less friction, therefore slippage
if there is nothing but glass then friction, drag

squeak = friction

therefore 'squeaky clean' is a drag! 


an analogy is before your wife gets into the shower her skin is a bit oily and therefore slippy, when she gets out you find your hand sticks rather than slides!!!!

Well that answers that one then. The residue can't last long though because the affect will not be there next time round. You know when you accidently clean the same window twice? you know  that you have just done it as soon as your blade hits the glass. It slide like an eel on ice. DAi
