Hot water pressure washer in action!
« on: May 02, 2011, 09:23:39 pm »
Ok, so today i made a short video to demonstrate exactly how versatile this great little machine is.

I used a rug which to be fair wasn't really that dirty, but you get the idea...

Materials and equipment used:

Zeta 120 hot water pressure washer with standard female quick connect
Pressure set around 350-400psi, thermostat set to 90Deg C

Prochem Steempro plus for extraction inc twin jet wand

Prochem Multi Pro pre spray

Prochem carpet brush

Sebo vacuum cleaner

Extracta mini scrubber

Would have been nice to see the set up and not the wand cleaning but I like the video.

Hi Shaun, did you mean me setting up the gear? i thought i would demonstrate the most important feature and thats the time it took to heat to max temp and of course the 400psi of pressure.
The rug was just to show the whole thing working... glad you liked the vid.. thanks

How hot does the Magma get at 400psi? 90 degrees in the van where the machine is located means that you may get 70 ish at the wand.

I'm not sure as i dont have one yet but its on my want list.

Plus i dont want to run anything from the van. Maybe the Zeta is best suited to people that do.

I can supply a service kit for the pumps which include all the seals etc for about £35.00+VATi have repared a few machines with leaky pump seals and both machines were quite old with quite a few hours clocked up!
Having worked on Karcher HDS601 machines i would say the Zeta is a piece of cake, no electronics, all mechanical
Just how the old school Karchers were.

Every part on the Zeta can be replaced including the plastic cover, if this machine is going to be running at 400psi rather than flat out at 1500psi im sure it will offer many years of reliable use.

Please note that the machine only weighs 63kg and can be easily moved out of the van with the extraction machine
I find this to be the best method especially if the customer has an outside tap.
The magma looks like a good piece of kit and would work well in situations like hotels and up in tower blocks... all the places where a TM is useless.
In order for the water to be as hot as possible i would run the magma in the same room as the wand with a shorter solution hose joining them

I doubt the magma would be able to offer maximum temp at 400psi... the water flow  would pass way too fast through the heat exchanger.

I have magma, in fact used it today i put in hot water and run it about 300psi but have the Magma by the machine in that configuration today i had to run the connector under cold water to be able to change to the stair tool.
Never tried it nearer the wand, have tried it with cold water and its still very hot very nice to have as a back up for those ones where a bit more is needed.
